Jeff is a Kickboxing Instructor. He started his Martial Arts training at a very early age and was competeing in national tournaments by the age of 16. Jeff is a transplanted East Coast boy who found Nin jutsu in California. He became an Executive bodyguard around the same time. Jeff competed and trained at the highest level until injuring his neck and back. Since he has turned his efforts to training others. His Executive Kickboxing class involves all of the conditioning elements he used when training for fights but made accessible to the beginner and advanced clients. It is a fun, high energy, practical, kick-your-butt workout!
Carrie Plescia began her teaching career in 2000 in Santa Barbara while she attended college at UCSB. Carrie majored in Latin American Studies and minored in Physical Education-Group Fitness. During college, she studied and traveled around Latin America: Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala. She collected music and her dance moves that she now uses in her fitness classes. With a background in dance and fitness that goes back to her childhood, she has fused together this experience with aerobic movements and popular Latin dances. Carrie's class is a high energy workout using dances such as Salsa, Samba, Cumbia, Afro-Cuban, Cha-cha, Merengue, Punta and Reggeaton. She has taught Latin Dance Aerobics classes for over 10 years in LA at Santa Monica Dance Studio, Sports Club LA, 24 Hour Fitness, and Hollywood Dance Center (where she is currently teaching and also at Anatomy LA). In 2005, Carrie was a semi-finalist for the Mayan World Salsa Competition. She continues to perform in salsa groups and choreographs for group presentations. She has recently trained in the Zumba format and now encorporates that into her classes.
